Keystone Resort is purpose built and has lots of well designed amenities and facilities across the two main villages. River Run Village has an array of facilities and services, whilst Mountain House has a day lodge with most amenities housed under the one roof including a basket check, lockers, brown bag eating area, a couple of shops, a food court and a bar.

Keystone Ski Rentals

Keystone ski rentals and snowboard rentals are available from ‘Keystone Sports’ near the base of the lifts at both River Run and Mountain House.

A host of other Keystone ski rental shops are located in the River Run Village shopping precinct, all close to the lifts, or there’s the Mountain View Sports shop on Highway 6.

Like most other major Colorado ski resorts there are also a couple of companies that offer an equipment rental delivery service.

Day Care for Children

The Keystone Children’s Center is located in the River Run Village. They run two ‘daycare’ programs: standard indoor ‘daycare’ for ages 2 months to 6 years; plus ‘Snowplay Daycare’ for ages 3 to 6 years is a non ski program that lets the kids play in the snow as well tear up the indoor children’s centre.

Keystone Ski School

The ski school at Keystone caters for all ages 3 years and up, it has the range of programs and quality instruction one would expect from a high end ski resort such as Keystone, including adaptive snowsports.

Kids ski school is for ages 3 -14 (skiing) and 7-14 (snowboarding) with meeting points at either River Run or Mountain House.

Adult group lessons are in either half day or full day format, and there are also semi-private lessons with a maximum of 4 clients available. The novice lesson meeting point is at the Mountain House, whilst intermediate and advanced lessons meet at the Summit House at the top of the River Run Gondola.

Eating On Mountain

Keystone is a big place with a whole lot of terrain miles from the village, so utilising the on mountain dining is a must. On mountain dining is available in three locations at the top and bottom of North Peak and on top of Dercum Mountain.

There are some on-mountain dining extremes at Keystone. Just below the top of North Peak in the Outpost area, right next to each other are the Alpenglow Stube and Timber Ridge Food Court. Alpenglow Stube provides glorious lunches in a cosy, well heeled environment, whilst Timber Food Court provides overpriced hamburgers with wet soggy buns, cold chips (fries) and the tiniest lasagne serves. Pay the money and eat at Alpenglow Stube!

Other options for daytime dining are at the Mountain House food court at the base area, or the eateries in the River Run Village.

If you’re planning on downloading the gondola at the end of the day, have a drink or two at the Summit House bar.
