Grandeco Accommodation
Staying at the hotel at the base of Grandeco provides the advantage of ski-in ski-out accommodation to Grandeco, although the terrain at
Grandeco is unlikely to keep you entertained for more than a day. Distances to drive to other Aizu ski resorts:
- Urabandai Kogen – 13km
- Nekoma North Gate – 15km

- Nekoma South Gate (formerly Alts Bandai) – 33km
Inawashiro Accommodation
You can stay near the Inawashiro Ski Resort, Listel Ski Fantasia or in Inawashiro town. Inawashiro accommodation provides the advantage of being close to the town of Inawashiro which has a good range of restaurants to choose from (don’t expect English menus) and supermarkets and other services.
Distances from Inawashiro town:
- Inawashiro Ski Resort - 4km
- Listel Ski Fantasia – 5km
- Nekoma (south side, formerly Alts Bandai) - 13km
- Nekoma (north side) – 22km
- Grandeco - 23km
- Minowa - 23km
Minowa Ski Resort Accommodation
Staying on-mountain at Minowa Ski Resort provides the convenience of ski-in ski-out accommodation. It is possible to drive to other Aizu ski resorts, but Minowa isn’t as centrally located as Inawashiro or Urabandai. Driving distances:
- Inawashiro Ski Resort 23km
- Grandeco 31km
- Nekoma North Gate 31km
- Nekoma South Gate (formerly Alts Bandai) 34km

Nekoma South Gate Hotel
There is no village at the ski resort but accommodation at the base of the South Gate of Nekoma Mountain consists of the deluxe Bandaisan Onsen Hotel. This Nekoma hotel is conveniently ski-in ski-out and inter-connected with the day lodges at the base of the ski area.
Distance from
Nekoma Ski Resort (South Gate):
- Inawashiro Ski Resort - 15km
AIZU Region Accommodation
The Aizu area includes various ski resorts near the front of Mt Bandai (Inawashiro), Urabandai (back of Mt Bandai) and Mt Adatara. Some of the Aizu accommodation is located at the Aizu ski resorts in ski-in ski-out positions, whilst others are further from the slopes and are accessible via car or a hotel shuttle service.
Or if you wanted to stay further south to take in cultural activities enroute to the Minaziaizu ski areas, you could stay in
Higashiyama Onsen.
Urabandai Accommodation
The Urabandai (back of Bandai) area is picturesque and various Urabandai hotels have fantastic onsen facilities. The Urabandai area has negligible restaurants or shops open in winter (it’s more geared for the summer tourists that come to enjoy the lakes) so you'll mostly need to dine at your hotel or pension.
Distances from the central zone of Urabandai:
- Urabandai Kogen ski area – 3km
- Nekoma - 4km
- Grandeco – 12km
- Minowa – 24km
- Adatara Kogen – 41km
