Kulusuk Greenland
Kulusuk is the starting point for all the best ski adventures in Greenland. Located on the south east coast on a small island, Kulusuk is one of the few places in Greenland that combines international flight connections, a beautiful village location plus spectacular mountains & fjords.
Skiing from Kulusuk takes place in the mountains north of the island. There are no ski resorts in the region, so all the sliding down is either human, snowmobile or helicopter powdered on the way up! The prime ski season is from March to June. Several companies run tours in the area. See the hosted ski touring & heli skiing packages in Kulusuk here.
Where is Kulusuk Greenland?
Kulusuk is in south east Greenland, about 750km west of Reykjavik Iceland. Kulusuk (KUS) airport may be small, but it has international flight connections with Iceland from Reykjavik (RKV) plus domestic flight connections with the capital of Greenland, Nuuk (GOH). A helicopter service also operates to the large village of Tasiilaq. Note that the weather in Kulusuk is notorious fickle, so be prepared for flight delays & cancellations.
