Ikon Pass

The Ikon Pass is from Alterra Mountain Company. You can see a list of the ski resorts you can access on the Ikon Pass below:

A Full Ikon Pass provides unlimited access to some resorts, and up to 5 to 7 days at other resorts, and generally with no blackout dates. The Ikon Base Pass is cheaper but has more restrictions. For the Alps, see the Europe Ikon Pass ski areas page for more information.

Blackout days vary a little from year to year and fall around the peak holiday period such as between Xmas and New Years, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Valentine's Day. For the Southern Hemisphere the blackout dates fall across the first couple of weeks of July.

Some ski resorts require reservations.

Whilst it's great to be able to use your Ikon Pass in Japan, keep in mind that most ski areas in Japan have very affordable or super cheap lift passes.
