Rusutsu Accommodation

If you are a powder hound it is worth staying at Rusutsu accommodation for at least a few days to get to the amazing deep powder before the day-trippers from Niseko get there. Rusutsu accommodation options are mostly limited to resort hotels and pensions.

You can look at Rusutsu accommodation availability here via these 3 links:

 Rusutsu Hotels

The Rusutsu Resort Hotel (North and South Wings) is the main hotel at the base of the ski lifts, a 4-star hotel with over 530 rooms. It is very conveniently located at the base of West Mountain with ski-in ski-out access to the slopes which include the kids’ area and other beginner slopes. The hotel has a variety of Western and Japanese style room configurations to cater for 2 to 5 guests. The hotel complex has about 16 shops, various restaurants, Disney-esque things for the kids to look at, plus an indoor wave pool and Japanese onsens. This is a very family oriented hotel.

The other resort hotel is the Westin Rusutsu Resort (formerly the Tower Hotel), a 24-storey all-suite hotel with quality upscale accommodations. It provides easy access to the golf course during summer, whilst access to the ski slopes requires a mono-rail ride to get back to the Rusutsu Resort Hotel and West Mountain, or a pair lift ride to get to the East Mountain. The hotel offers 231 large rooms and has its own shops and restaurants.

Rusutsu House
Shirokin Chalet is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house catering up to 10 guests, located about 800 metres from the Rusutsu Resort.

Villa Rusutsu offers a few villa types for up to 5 guests. The villas have a small living area but no kitchen although there is a restaurant on-site. Villa Rusutsu is located about 2km from Rusutsu Resort.
Rusutsu Budget Accommodation
There are several inexpensive pensions near Rusutsu that are run by Japanese families, so you're highly likely to get a great Japanese cultural experience. The only downside is that they are popular so it can be hard to find availability.

An inexpensive option is the Pension Sky Be which offers simple twin room accommodation with shared bathroom. This pension is about 5 minutes walk to the ski resort.

The Ohisama House is a simple inn offering twin rooms with ensuite bathroom. It is ski-in and there is also a free shuttle to and from the ski area. This accommodation is located close to the non-resort restaurants and izakayas.
