Where is Bridger Bowl Montana?

Bridger Bowl is about 16 miles northeast of the centre of Bozeman in south central Montana. From Bozeman, West Yellowstone is 89 miles to the south, which is the west entrance to the Yellowstone National Park. On the way south, you’ll almost drive straight past Big Sky Resort. Or Mammoth at the north end of Yellowstone Park is 84 miles southeast of Bozeman.

Flights

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) is the gateway airport for Bridger Bowl Montana, which is 10 miles northwest of Bozeman.

Direct flights originate from Chicago, Portland, Seattle, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis and Chicago. You can look at flight options here but expect to pay more to get to Bozeman compared to various other western US ski gateway airports.

Driving

Car rentals are available at the airport (reservations recommended), and you’ll need it because the bus service between Bozeman and Bridger Bowl Montana is rather limited. Having your own vehicle is the only way to go as you’ll probably also want to visit other ski areas in the general vicinity.

The drive between Bozeman and Bridger Bowl is reasonably easy on a nice highway. Bridger Bowl is easily accessed via Interstate 90. From the west exit at 306, left onto Frontage Rd, right into Griffin Dve, then right onto Bridger Canyon Rd. Be careful as there is very little in the way of signage. From the east, exit at 309 onto Main St then turn right into Rouse Ave in town. This leads directly north into Bridger Canyon Rd. Once on Bridger Canyon Road its 15 to 20 minutes drive to Bridger Bowl which will appear on your left.

There are lots and lots of parking lots at Bridger Montana, which is somewhat indicative of how busy it can get there.

Other Ski Resorts Nearby

Big Sky is the closest major ski resort being only 50 miles southwest of Bozeman.

Other ski hills in Montana worth travelling to include Whitefish Mountain Resort (5 to 6 hours drive) and the massively under rated Montana Snow Bowl near Missoula (3 hours drive).

Grand Targhee is 193 miles south of Bozeman (via West Yellowstone) whilst Jackson Hole is 217 miles south.
