Where is Puerta del Sol Hotel?
This hotel is very conveniently located, only 150 feet (45 metres) from the
Valle Nevado ski area in Tres Valles of Chile. It’s not quite ski-in ski-out but it’s very easy to skate between the ski area and the hotel. The bars, restaurants and shops are all within short walking distance.
Hotel Rooms
The hotel rooms are medium sized and have stylish décor. They are many steps up from “adequate”. Some of the rooms are adjoining which provides flexibility for families or groups travelling together.
Some rooms have balconies overlooking the slopes (North Side). Otherwise they have magnificent bay windows to take in the unbelievable views (South Side).
The rooms have nice little touches including a vapourizer for altitude nose bleeds, and a fantastically stocked mini bar!
Facilities
The facilities of the hotel and the resort are fabulous. These include:

Breakfast is at the Mirador del Ploma, the restaurant on-site at the Hotel Puerto del Sol. The huge buffet breakfast is a great way to get fuelled for a big day out on the slopes. The range of food is amazing with traditional Chilean breakfast sweet treats, breads, and hot items.
Dinner on the first night is at Mirador del Ploma. They offer a huge range of buffet food including made-to-order pastas. After the first night, it’s possible to sample the other restaurants at Valle Nevado.
Bar Puerta del Sol on the 1st floor is a bar and café in one. The delightful furnishings make it a pleasant place to sit for a mellow drink anytime of the day.
