Hakuba Norikura Restaurants & Bars

Norikura is a typical unwesternised Japanese ski resort, so don’t expect an abundance of restaurant or much nightlife. Any nightlife in Norikura is delightfully subdued.

The two villages at the base of Hakuba Norikura Ski Resort mostly consist of hotels and pensions and there is no main strip of restaurants, bars and shops. Instead the villages are somewhat spread out and there are just a handful of dining options and a couple of bars.

Wakaguri Village

Hakuba Alps Hotel offers a couple of restaurant options that non-guests could dine at with a reservation. Restaurant Alps is the main buffet restaurant that has an array of Japanese and western dishes. Restaurant Azumino is a French/Japanese restaurant that serves kaiseki style cuisine.

If you’re staying at the hotel, your nightlife might consist of having an onsen and an après ski drink from the shop or the vending machine.

Peppermint Restaurant is a cosy eatery and bar, offering ramen and other hearty fare, and pancakes are a must.

Satomi Village

Endless Bar and Restaurant at the Hakuba Cortina Loge is open from lunch through to après ski time and into the evening. The menu includes pizza and other western cuisine along with a few classic Japanese izakaya style bites.

Momiji Lodge has an in-house restaurant and bar.

Pizza do Ponchon is slopeside at Norikura and has a predominantly pizza menu.
