Where is Inawashiro Japan?
The Inawashiro Ski Resort is located in the Fukushima Prefecture, the most southern of the prefectures that make up the
Tohoku region. The Inawashiro ski area is about 280km north of
Tokyo and only 5km from the little town of Inawashiro and the associated train station.
The
Inawashiro ski area is just north of Lake Inawashiro, on the southeastern flank of Mt Bandai which is considered the “front side” of this big mountain.
Driving to Inawashiro
Having a set of wheels is advantageous to get to Inawashiro if you’re on a multi-day trip, so you can get between your accommodation and Inawashiro Ski Resort. The town of Inawashiro is rather spread out, and having a car is also advantageous so you can also visit the many nearby ski resorts.
