Alta Badia Best Restaurants & Bars

Whilst most of the mountain rifugios, restaurants & bars in Alta Badia are wonderful, listed below are a selection of our absolute favourites. Most involve an interesting skiing element, hence they make the list, but they are no particular order.

Osteria L’Murin
Ski in to one the most full-on, fun après ski experiences. Set in an old mill/barn opposite the swank La Perla hotel and just up from the Col Alto gondola base in Corvara. Pop straight out of your skis or board and step into another world. Don’t forget to grab your skis when you leave. It will be dark!!

L’Got
For a more refined après, you can’t go past L’Got. Excellent bar that does superb infused foam gin and tonics (think basil, mandarin, raspberry) or just have a wine, sparkling, spritz or beer. Quality bar snacks provided with drinks including freshly shaved prosciutto, olives, breads, pates crisps and other delights. No need to eat dinner. Most of the clientele get changed ut of their ski gear before coming here, but buck the trend, be proud

Boe
Lunch in the restaurant at the top of Boe gondola is superb. Huge views out to Sassongher & divine food. Will not disappoint!

Rifugio Col Alt
At the top of the Col Alto gondola, the busy downstairs restaurant serves great quality local fare and has a diverse drinks list. Service is excellent but get in early or book a table as it is a locals favourite - always a sure sign of quality!. Informal café upstairs is nice for a coffee and light ‘self service’ lunches.

Rifugio Santa Croce
Above Badia at the furthest end of the Alta Badia lift system, the rifugio sits at 2045m below imposing cliffs and next to the ancient Santa Croce chapel (first consecrated in 1484). Set in a farmhouse dating back to 1718, the rifugio serves up lovely lunches based on local specialties in a stunning & historic surround.

La Utia Hut
On trail number 11 is wonderfully located and serves the region’s best Bombardino & Calimero. Drink these here to assist in completing your Alta Badia rite of passage.

Piz La Ila Club Moritzino
Above Alta Badia’s gastronomic centre, La Villa, enjoy one of the Dolomites’ rites of passage with a night out at Club Moritzino at the top of the Piz La Ila gondola. After a night of great food, drink and entertainment, ski down the Gran Risa (classic 650m vertical) into La Villa illuminated by the light of several snow-cats which will transport down the not so (fool)hardy or inebriated!
