Ski Arlberg Lessons & Guiding

Whether you are a beginner skier or snowboarder in the novice areas of Lech, Stuben, St Anton, St Christoph or Zürs; an expert seeking steep couloirs & deep powder; or an intermediate wanting to improve & ski the entire, there is an instructor or mountain guide ready for you in Ski Arlberg.

Whilst anyone seeking lessons has a massive range of choice, the more important decisions are for those seeking the rewards of Ski Arlberg’s off-piste & backcountry terrain. The options are truly vast but for most will be much more fun & safe explored with the assistance of a quality accredited mountain guide. Some of the best lines are difficult to locate during a short-term visit and other descents cannot be undertaken unless in the company of a certified mountain guide, i.e. like up the cable car to Valluga. Backcountry ski touring from any point can include lift-accessed freeride; easy skinning & cruisy descents in wide alpine bowls or interesting boot-packs into super steep couloirs. The classics include Valluga & Schindler Spitze plus the backside of Rendl at St Anton, anywhere into St Christoph, in Stuben off Albona & Maroi, or into the village via Flexen Pass, Trittkopf, Hasenfluh & Madloch-Joch at Zurs, out wide on Mohnenfluh & Rüfikopf at Lech or any of the variations off Saloberkopf in Warth. And that’s just scratching the surface.

A wide diversity of ski instructors, ski schools & mountain guides ply their trade in the broader Ski Arlberg. Joining a mixed guided group is a whole lot cheaper than hiring a private guide, but with the major caveat being one never knows the ski ability & skill level of the other group members until it may be too late! To narrow down the field of instructors & guides, use one our partners from a listing below.
