Revelstoke Restaurants & Bars

9 Day British Columbia Ski Tour
Wagner Custome Skis
The dining and drinking options in the village of Revelstoke Mountain Ski Resort are very limited, whilst downtown Revelstoke has a much larger range of restaurants and bars.

Downtown Revelstoke Restaurants

Downtown there are lots of Revelstoke restaurants and bars that are located within easy walking distance of the centre of town. And if you really don’t want to walk very far, some of the Revelstoke hotels have their own restaurant and bar. Evening Revelstoke dining includes pubs, grills, Chinese restaurants, and pizza and pasta joints. The Japanese restaurants in Revelstoke are great, particularly Kawakubo which has Japanese fusion fare to make it very western friendly.

For a delightful dinner try the Quartermaster at the Explorers Society Hotel (111 First Street West).

The 112 Restaurant and Lounge at the Regent Hotel (112 East First Street) also has amazing meals and cocktails. If you’re staying on the outskirts of town at Stoke Hotel or the Best Western Plus Revelstoke, free on-demand shuttles are provided to/from 112 Restaurant and Lounge and the adjacent Rivercity Pub.

Someone recommended that we should go to Paramjit’s Kitchen, but they’re now off the Christmas card list. The restaurant has a weird mix of Indian fare (that didn’t taste particularly Indian because it had very little spice), Thai food and German food, and they don’t serve alcohol to wash down the peculiar food.

Daytime Dining Revelstoke Town

Revelstoke has a growing café culture along with a handful of bakeries where you can get coffee and brunch or lunch.

La Baguette is an amazing place for brunch or breakfast. It is on the shuttle bus route so you could walk there for your morning fix before heading out to shred.

Main Street Café (317 MacKenzie Ave) is a nice little café for breakfast or lunch.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort Restaurants & Bars

The little village at the base of the Revelstoke Mountain Resort is contained within the three Sutton Place Hotel buildings and includes one restaurant/bar, one coffee shop, and a few facilities. So if you’re staying at the Sutton Place Hotel and you don’t want to cook in your condo every night, you might want to drive yourself into town to get a little more variety with respect to dining and drinking establishments.

La Baguette is a beautiful little coffee shop that’s open during the day for eat-in or take-away. They do great coffees, breakfast wraps, paninis and other simple meals and snacks. They have OK-ish wifi access too (by Revelstoke standards!).

Up at the mid-mountain day lodge there’s a small licensed bar where some punters partake in a few après ski bevvies, but it’s usually rather sedate. From there you can move down to the Rockford Bar & Grill. Watching the alpenglow and perching in front of the modish outdoor gas fires is pretty special!

The Rockford Wok, Grill and Bar is open for breakfast, lunch, après ski and dinner. It’s a fraction classy but still casual enough that you can rock about in your ski gear. This large restaurant has lots on the menu (although the wine list is somewhat limited), so your palate shouldn’t get too bored if you want to dine here a few nights during your stay. The cuisine also caters to a range of budgets. Fare includes Asian wok dishes, steak, pasta, and burgers.

Revelstoke Nightlife & Bars in Town

The Revelstoke nightlife in town is definitely more happening than that on-mountain at the ski resort. The vibrancy of the Revelstoke nightlife is growing but it’s like a far cry from Banff or Whistler. Revelstoke bars include casual pubs that double as sports bars, sophisticated lounges, and a couple of bars that morph into night clubs.

The Village Idiot Bar and Grill (306 Mackenzie Ave) is a good pub for an inexpensive feed and casual drinks.

The Regent Hotel has the elegant 112 lounge bar (the restaurant). Some nights they have live music; generally background music type acts where you can continue to chat over a wine if you wish. Next door is the River City Pub which offers casual fare and beers. There is also a quasi-nightclub with a rocking dance floor some evenings.

Monashee Spirits is a craft distillery and cocktail lounge that has dangerously good drinks.

And in line with the growing trendiness of the town, there are a couple of breweries with craft beer.

A different sort of drinking establishment is The Cabin, which is a lounge bar, bowling alley and snowboard shop, all rolled into one.
