On-Mountain Accommodation

There are lots of Big White accommodation options and these cater to a large range of budgets. There are only a few Big White hotels and these provide modest lodging and there is a youth hostel for the frugal. The mainstay of Big White accommodation is condos, chalets and townhouses, which is particularly ideal for groups and the many families that stay at Big White.

The Big White ski resort has been well designed such that much of the lodging is located part way up the ski area, and most of the Big White accommodation offers the fabulous convenience of being perfectly ski-in ski-out or very close to it. The Big White lodging is very well located with respect to the ski runs, whilst some accommodations have the ultimate location with close proximity to the central village as well as the slopes.

Big White Accommodation - Central Village

Staying in or near the heart of the mid-mountain village is incredibly handy. From the ski-through village it’s possible to schuss down to four different chair lifts (including runs for beginners). Staying in this area also provides very easy access to the shops, restaurants, bars and other ski resort amenities located in this area (e.g. ski and snowboard rentals, ski school, child care). Another advantage of staying here is that there is a free pedestrian gondola that drops from the hub of the village down to Happy Valley, where there are various family friendly activities.

One example of central accommodation is Trappers Crossing which includes 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condos, and there are various options available for booking on the Big White Accommodation search. We’ve stayed at a 2 bedroom condo and loved the convenient location, the space, and good value.

Other Big White Accommodations

There are many other Big White accommodation options that are easily accessible via the lifts and slopes, but require a walk or shuttle bus to get to the village. Most of the accommodations below the village sit on or near green runs, which can be quite convenient for families with beginners. Above the village are various properties that are ski-in ski-out via blue runs.

Big White also has some private vacation rentals a long way from the village around the Snow Pines Estate area.

Kelowna Accommodation 

You may require overnight accommodation en-route to Big White or on your way back to the airport. We highly recommend the Four Points by Sheraton which is located next to the airport.
