Matsunoki-tei
Matsunoki-tei is a simple and traditional old ryokan that’s very close to the Tsugaike Ski Resort (almost slopeside) and offers a genuine Japanese experience. The Japanese inn features a restaurant with nice food and friendly hosts. It is Japanese owned and operated.
Where is Matsunoki-tei Hakuba?
Matsunoki tei is located in the Tsugaike village of
Hakuba Valley. It’s almost slopeside and once you cross the little road it’s ski-in ski-out or you can walk
260m to the Tsugaike Kogen gondola.
The inn is only 100m away from a ski rental shops and convenience store, and a local bus stop is 5 minutes walk away.
The hosts can provide arrival and departure transfers to/from the bus stop.

Meals
Breakfast is available and is Japanese style set menu.
You can pre-reserve dinner for one or all of your nights. These are Japanese set menu dinners and may include sushi, shabu shabu and an array of other fare.
The dining area is very traditional and the seating is horigotatsu ie traditional Japanese tables low to the ground with a recessed floor beneath it so that you can stretch out the legs.
