best resort for finding freshies even a week after a storm. if you like powder go here. Like they say a bad day at powder mountain is better than a good day anywhere else. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST RESORT IN THE US! we had an issue one day where the power went out so only certain lifts were running but they gave everyone their money back so it wasn’t a bad experience.

this is the perfect mountain in my opinion. The snow is amazing and the terrain is immense. I love the old lodges and lifts. You need to try the cat skiing in the trees at Cobabe Canyon. Dont tell too many friends, Its a powder hounds paradise.

The Vibe at Powder Mountain is great. I had a very relaxing day, enjoying the views. There was hardly anyone there. maybe a few hundred. they were the last resort to close due to covid and i bought a ticket. there wasn't any new snow for about a week but I still found "freshies". I wanted to ride their steeper terrain but no snowcats running because of the virus. and a lot of steep angle was blown out. but the low-angle trees and pow were awesome. I remember doing some really fun runs down ying and yang and going through the aspen groves. The lifts are a bit slow there and could feel myself being anxious with excitement to explore the seemingly endless terrain there. But the beauty of all the mountains quickly distracts you. Some of the coolest people in the industry working there too. Deffs a different vibe than snowbird although I love it for different reasons. Not sure how the nightlife is around there but i assume it's not the most hopping, i had to catch a flight home to Baltimore directly after riding there that day

Great snow every time I've gone (4 times). Trails for just about everyone that is intermediate and above, I wouldn't recommend a first time skier to come here. But if you're looking for a wide variety of challenges and tons of different ways to get down the mtn. This is the place! Staff is amazing and ski patrol is probably the best I've ever met! Night skiing is really amazing here. I recommend trying to get far from the lodge so you can avoid crowds though!

Spent 2 days of Pow Mow and one at Snow Basin. Had so much fun the first 2, returned for a third. We arrived on Tuesday March 10th after 6 inches fell on Saturday, so expectations were low for finding powder. Boy were we wrong. Crowds were so low when we arrived, that plenty of fresh tracks were still be had. Temps had stayed just cold enough to set things up nicely. Certainly wasn't a locals powder day, I am sure, but for riders from the east coast, set up great for us. Spoke to a local before we headed out on day one and he provided some great trips to navigate to truly experience all the place has to offer. There were runs when we did not see a sole, except for the lifties, who always had a smile and asked how our day was going. The amount of skiable terrain is just crazy! 360 views from the lift - all rideable. After getting a feel for the terrain the first day, we took the snow cat to Lighting Ridge the second day, Same story.... not a true local powder day, but plenty of fresh stuff off the back face of the ridge. Ended both days at the Powder Keg for a few local beers and bar trivial. The Apres is certainly not Park City and has a hard core local vibe, which we loved. This place is all about the riding (or skiing) not about fancy amenities, and for the skier and rider who is looking to experience nature untainted. Not many places like this left. High quality snow, plenty of places to explore, and pow stashes to be had (even for the non locals).

Had a epic day on the mountain all thanks to my guide Joshua Phillips. Been a few days since any new snow and he was able to take me to fresh snow all day. I would highly recommend him for any snowboarder looking for a great day.

I came to Pow Mow for a week and it was amazing. It snowed a total of 37 inches while we were out there. The lift lines were excellent, Friday there was more people than the rest of the week but it was no more than a 3 minute wait. This was my second trip out to Utah and I have to say I enjoyed it more than Park City. Park City I was fighting for the fresh tracks, while Powder I had fresh tracks all day. Not to mention by 12pm park city is practically all tracked up. The backcountry or powder country as they refer to them were unbelievably good. The tree lines in between trails were also very fun and untouched. I did one ride on the cat ski and that was also so much fun and challenging in a good way. The terrain overall was 10 out of 10, and the friendliness of the staff was 10 out of 10. I even had someone from the staff show me some parts in the powder country that I would have never found had it not been for them. The only thing that they are lacking is maybe a few more high speed lifts with bubble shields.

PowMow is surprisingly awesome place to ski. I had read many mixed reviews about the place, so I was somewhat open minded when we made it there. It has the same vibe as Alta, Bridger Bowl or A-Basin: it's all about the skiing or boarding. And yet it is so unlike any other resort I've been to, there are hills everywhere that somehow connect. Yes there are long shallow groomers, but when we there about 5 days after a 2 foot storm, we still found bits and pieces of untouched in Powder Country and plenty on Lightning Ridge ($25 snowcat ride). There is plenty of fun steep stuff in PowMow and there are no lift lines : ) The lifts are pretty slow but this is not investment banker territory, who cares enjoy the ride. This is a totally chilled mountain.
