Powder Lodge was a great place. Accommodating room and board. Wonderful Andes atmosphere with priceless views. Travel to and from the mountain was less than an hour. The Lodge was small but comfortable.

If you are looking for something other than a big hotel where you can feel extra special, not just a room number, this is the place for you.

We had read the glowing reviews about Powder Lodge Farellones and we had high expectations. Well we weren't disappointed! From the time you arrive, Christian and his staff make you feel like you are part of the family.

The lodge itself is rustic and cosy and has a really nice warm feeling to it. There are multiple living areas so guests can spread out and have their own space or integrate with other guests as they like.

The rooms vary in standard and size however they are all warm and have very comfortable beds with premium bedding. One of the added benefits of staying in Farellones as opposed to Valle Nevado is that it is a bit lower in altitude meaning it is far easier to sleep at night.

The outdoor wood fired hot tub is a real treat. Patricio the in-house chef even prepares apres snacks and brings it out to the hot tub so you can relax and watch the sun set without interruption.

On the food front, these guys really cook up a storm. They have a good variety of food and change it every night during a week. They can also cater for most special dietary requirements. You won't go hungry at Powder Lodge and I think most people's taste buds will be well satisfied.

Powder Lodge staff also run a free shuttle for guests around Farellones and to La Parva and El Colorado each day so you don't need your own vehicle.

The only problem with Powder Lodge is it only has 8 rooms and it gets booked up early; so if this is what you are looking for you will need to book in early (or you might have to rely on luck). So go ahead and book this amazing place before you miss out.

We had stayed at various places in the Tres Valley and whist we have always enjoyed the skiing we always came away a little disappointed about our lodging experience. Wherever we stayed it seemed to cost a small fortune for not great value.

Well look no further; if you like a boutique lodge style environment where you can meet new friends around the dinner table in the evening and feel like you are part of an extended family, then Powder Lodge is the place for you.

Right from the time you walk in to this place you are greeted with welcome arms and the hospitality goes beyond what you would find at a 5-star hotel.

The food is a total highlight and the added bonus of toasting with a nice wine with new friends is tremendous.

The rooms are on the small side but very cozy and the ensuite bathrooms are adequate.

One of my favorite things to do each day was come home to the outdoor hot tub and watch the sun go down with a glass of wine in hand.
