Daisetsuzan Powder Trip
If you have been to Niseko before and you are gagging to get even more powder, the Daisetsuzan Powder Trip could be for you!
The Daisetsuzan Powder Trip is a
fully customisable tour for PRIVATE GROUPS. In particular, this trip can be
adjusted to suit ski and split board touring groups that want to get further into Hokkaido's highest mountain range.
The itinerary is based on visiting
Central Hokkaido with an emphasis on the Daisetsuzan mountain range, and
Sapporo… epic zones with incredible terrain. The trip would typically be based from
Furano depending on your skiing interests and timing. Areas within striking distance from these areas are
Asahidake,
Kamui, Furano,
Tokachidake,
Tomamu,
Sahoro and
Kurodake (depending on the time of the season). Wrapping up in Sapporo leaves you with a chance to visit Kiroro, Sapporo Kokusai or Teine Highland. The weather, snow and your interests will ultimately dictate where you end up each day.
An alternative option for those that are particularly keen to ski tour and maximize time in the alpine of the Daisetsuzan range, is to stay at higher elevation locations like Tokachidake and Asahidake.
The itinerary is just a sample to provide a concept and price, but there are a lot of different ways to ski Hokkaido and this trip can be longer or shorter, visit more/less areas, take a different route etc. Just let RSGs know about your group, skiing interests, how much time you have and they'll put together a custom itinerary that fits your requirements.
The package includes all accommodation with daily breakfats, lift passes, guiding and the in-bound transfer from Chitose Airport, and private transport in a comfy 4WD van to other ski areas on guided days and to Sapporo.
There are limited guides available for these tours so you will need to be quick to lock down a tour & date. If you have any questions, want to check availability, or get a quote for your group size or trip duration,
you can make a booking request.
Ability
To get the most out of this tour, RSGs recommend you be a MINIMUM strong intermediate skier/boarder. You should be able to confidently link together tight turns on black runs and ideally have some powder skiing/riding experience.
As it is your tour, you can ultimately influence your guide as to the types of terrain you want to ski/ride in and whether you want to do any hiking or touring away from the lifts to access the steep & deep.
