Hakuba Cortina Accommodation

The only on-mountain accommodation at the Hakuba Cortina ski resort (aka Koruchina) is the Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba. This big deluxe hotel sits majestically at the base of the ski area, offering the superb convenience of ski-in ski-out accommodation. Families in particular enjoy the accessibility of the slopes as well as the kids’ amenities and activities, the restaurants and other ski resort facilities.

The Green Plaza Hotel at Cortina has over 250 guest rooms that have a combo of western and Japanese beds. See the Hotel Green Plaza page for more information.

One of the advantages of staying at Cortina is the easy access to the Cortina ski area. It’s also possible to visit other Hakuba ski areas for day trips via the free bus service, although some of the resorts require two bus trips to get there.

Norikura Accommodation

At the adjacent ski resort village of Norikura, there are a couple of very simple accommodation options as well as a hotel.

Sansui-so is located at the base of Norikura ski resort and offers basic Japanese pension style accommodation.

The Hakuba Alps Hotel is a large hotel at the base of the Norikura ski resort (but not near the Cortina lifts so a dual lift ticket is required), offering western and Japanese style rooms and hot springs.

Other Hakuba Accommodation

The other option is to stay in more central Hakuba accommodation in Wadano or Happo and take day trips to Hakuba Cortina. One potential disadvantage of this is that the buses to Cortina can get full on a powder day, and you risk missing out!
