Hachimantai Cat Ski Trip

Score yourself some famed Iwate powder out snowcat skiing. Head to Iwate to get away from the crowds, where you have to share the cat skiing slopes with only 7 others! Add a couple of days of Hachimantai cat skiing to your Iwate itinerary or make it your main reason to head to the region.

The Hachimantai Cat Ski Trips include 2 days of guided snowcat skiing where you can revel in amongst the famed Iwate powder (approx. 6-8 runs per day). Ride up the slopes in the comfort of a pimped out snowcat and ride down the powder, with open bowls and ridges and super spaced tree skiing.

The Hachimantai Cat Ski Trips with JST also include 2 nights of lodging. You can choose from 2 options: a high end hotel with an onsen and rooms with ensuite bathroom (western rooms or Japanese tatami rooms) and mega buffet meals; or the full Japanese experience in a ryokan with outdoor onsen (hot spring) and gorgeous multi-course traditional kaiseki dinners.

Breakfast and dinner are provided at the hotel, whilst lunch is a bento box which can be eaten inside the snowcat or outside (pending nice weather).

See the Hachimantai cat skiing overview for information on the terrain and location.
