There is a lively apres ski scene
At the Gunbarrell saloon with live entertainment
A steak house there is top tier

The runs are steeper then other hills so you get more out of the Diamond runs

The skating loop is beautiful

Lift issues

Could be a good place to ski but there always seems to be lift issues to the point where most of the place is shut down. Been there 4 times over the last 2 years but had to leave 3 of those because the lifts are broken down.

Apex is glorious!

16/09/2017
Had such a glorious ski at Apex in March. Fresh tracks, zero crowds, zero lift lines, great piste, tree, steeps and bump skiing were all topped off by the super friendly and obliging locals. We were shown numerous secret stashes by the locals and just had a fantastic day. Definitely a place to ski or board on a powder day.

Gets called Scrapex by some mean spirited skiers from the 'other side of the valley', but we found it to be a helluva lot of fun.
Whilst the lifts are getting on a bit, they do the business well enough. The terrain around (the excruciatingly slow) Stocks triple chair is perfect for beginners, lower intermediates and families. The rest of the hill is an advanced and expert riders delight.

The bistro for lunch serves delicious home-style food, and the Gunbarrel saloon is a classic (world class) apres ski bar, minus the heaving crowds. A gunbarrel coffee from the restaurant is a'must do' Apex experience. Stay the night on the hill to make the most of it all.

If you are driving the Powder Highway in BC, don't forget to turn off at Penticton and head up to Apex.
