Hotel Mount Shiga is well located in the Ichinose village. Like most hotels in Shiga Kogen, it’s not modern, but it has old-school charm and offers a good opportunity to get a Japanese experience. You can stay in Japanese tatami rooms on futons or if you don’t want the full Japanese experience, you can stay in simple western rooms or in deluxe Japanese/combo rooms.

Shiga Kogen is located about 100m from the Ichinose Family slopes and only 150m from main bus stop. It is ski-in ski-out depending on the snow cover adjacent to the road, otherwise it’s a very short walk to and from the slopes.

Dining
Half board packages are possible (breakfast & dinner included) or you can just get breakfast included.
Breakfast consists of set meals with some baked goods, with some western type items along with Japanese fare.
Despite Ichinose having the most dining options of Shiga Kogen, it’s worth booking at least some of your meals in-house at Mount Shiga because there are only a few dining options nearby (and these should be pre-booked).
