What a week! I’ve spent a week at the bear claw lodge with my sister and it’s been incredible!
- The skiing: above anything I could have imagined. The terrain is huge, and that gives access to any kind of landscapes, steepness, and snow!
- The lodge: remote yet relatively easy to reach, in a stunning location, with all the amenities you would like to have (sauna, bathtub).
- The people: possibly what makes this place special. From the chefs, the guides, the lodge’s staff, they really make you feel like at home. The environment is really easy going, but the quality of the service is really top notch
When you arrive and you find yourself surrounded by repeating customers it feels a bit weird, but after 1 week you finally understand why people come back again and again… and you want to become part of that group!

You can try to describe it, but it has to be experienced - it's definitely worth it.

Bear Claw Lodge is a unique place, surrounded by untouched nature and with warm people who make you feel welcome. If you're lucky, you might even hear the howling of wolves or marvel at the impressive Northern Lights in the sky.

At the lodge, you will be spoiled with exquisite food and can spend cozy hours by the fire with a glass of wine in pleasant company. Après-ski at Kitzi's Bar is also an unforgettable experience.

The entire team at Bear Claw Lodge, Skeena Heliskiing and Northcoast Helicopters go out of their way to make every day a special moment - even if you can't fly into the vast heliskiing area. From my repeated visits at different times and in different weather conditions, I can say with confidence that a variety of runs are offered for all snow conditions and weather (if flying is possible). The highest level of safety is always guaranteed and any risk is minimized as far as possible.

Well where do I start…? Oh, I know, how about this was one of the best weeks of my life!!

Thank you to the Skeena Heliskiing and Bear Claw Lodge teams for the most fantastic experience. Of course, we sign up for the heliskiing, which is phenomenal - limitless terrain, accessiblity in most weather conditions (the team got us out 6/6 days!) and lovely snow conditions; but it’s all the other details that set Skeena apart from the rest.

The highly skilled, and super fun guides make each run exciting and enjoyable yet you feel safe at all times; as do the pilots who are ubering you up and down the most stunning terrain.

The lodge is beautifully constructed, grand but cozy; the team are professional yet friendly and not too formal; the variety of apres was super fun; if you have enough energy there is cross country skiing, an iceskating rink, a sauna (more my style), massage, and indoor games around the unique & comfortable bar lounge.

The kitchen crew kept us fueled up with 5 star meals, for 6 full days of amazing skiing, snowboarding and laughs. I’d say put Skeena on your bucket list, but you’ll absolutely want to do this more than once!!!

This is a special lodge. The management and staff make you feel part of a welcoming crew - sharing beers, playing pool and catching up but delivering a highly professional service leaving you wanting for nothing, except to stay longer. The skiing terrain is excellent with a great combination of alpine and trees giving the pilots and guides plenty of flexibility. We went as a group of 4, who between us have 20 heli trips under our belts and this is up there with the best week any of us has had. Don't hesitate, spaces book quickly.

I have been to 7 different heli-ski lodges and this is one of the best if not the best. Remote and stunningly beautiful location, managed impeccably, the food is amazing, the staff are so attentive but not too formal, safety is woven in to all the flying and skiing so you feel completely comfortable to focus on the deep powder rush of massive tenure.Skeena lodge should be on everyone’s bucket list.

Une expérience unique et tellement satisfaisante . c'est la 1ere fois que je fais Heli Ski... moi qui est un skieur dans les resorts particulièrement à Tremblant, Québec, Canada Grâce aux conseils des guides professionnels et à mon expérience de skieur j'ai pu m' adapté pour dévaller ses montagnes enneigées et ses sous bois.. quoiqu'il ne faut pas sous estimé le degré de difficulté.. l'accueil et l'accompagnement personnalisé en petit groupe de 4 skieurs par guide rend l'expérience unique.. tout le personnel est très attentif.et professionnel. on se sent dans un environnement familial.. et les repas 5 étoiles chaque soir furent surprenant.. on se croierait dans un grand restaurant... et pourtant nous étions assez loin de la civilisation. Finalement j'invite les canadiens et les québécois à découvrir Skeena Heli skiing et découvrir ce coin de paradis dans nos belles Rocheuses Canadiennes à quelques heures de Prince Rupert et de Terrace. Merci à toute l'équipe et à l'ambiance amicale, chaleureuse et à l'expertise et le sérieux de votre entreprise. Bravo

A unique and so satisfying experience. This is the first time I have done Heli Skiing... I am a skier in resorts, particularly in Tremblant, Quebec, Canada. Thanks to the advice of professional guides and my experience as a skier, I was able to adapt to descend its snowy mountains and undergrowth... although the degree of difficulty should not be underestimated... the welcome and personalized support in a small group of 4 skiers per guide makes the experience unique... all the staff is very attentive and professional. We feel in a family environment... and the 5-star meals every evening were surprising... we would think we were in a great restaurant... and yet we were quite far from civilization. Finally, I invite Canadians and Quebecers to discover Skeena Heli Skiing and discover this corner of paradise in our beautiful Canadian Rockies a few hours from Prince Rupert and Terrace. First week of march we had a most wonderfull week at the bearclaw lodge. Superb lodge with all comfort and excellent food. Friendly staff looked after us and gave us a good time. Unlimited heliflights (we did 84 runs in 6 days 😃) and stunning terrain. The pilots and the mountainguides kept us safe and kept us to skiing in deep powder.
