Selkirk Powder Heli Skiing Day Packages

Selkirk Powder Heli Skiing is the perfect adjunct to your Schweitzer ski vacation, along with Selkirk Powder Cat Skiing. Or if you’re a greedy powder hound you can just make heli skiing with Selkirk Powder Guides the main event of your trip. Choose from one day of heliskiing or as many days as your legs and budget will allow.

You can join in as an individual, couple or small group, or you can pull together your own group of up to 8 if you want to slash pow with just your mates.

Silver Package – Semi Private Heli Skiing

A day of silver package heli skiing with Selkirk Powder Guides includes 7 blissful runs. You can book as an individual and there’s a maximum of 8 guests, with one or more guides depending on guest numbers.


Gold Package – Private Helicopter Charter

With the gold private package, you have the ultimate freedom. Ski 8 or more runs with unlimited vertical. You can have any number of guests up to a maximum of 8, with 2 guides.

Lodging

With the Selkirk Powder Heli Skiing you have the flexibility to choose your own lodging. You can stay in the small and quaint village at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, or alternatively in the town of Sandpoint where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. A Typical Day Of Heli Skiing

0800:
Meet at your chosen heli-port for guide introductions and safety and weather briefings

0845-0900: Prepare your gear and get ready for flight

0915-0945:
Aircraft familiarization and take off into the Selkirks for amazing heli skiing

2:30-3:00: Return to Sandpoint Airport (or Priest Lake). A number of fine restaurants are just minutes away and a perfect place to celebrate your day.

Note: Times may shift due to weather and flying conditions. Departure for skiing may occur at any time through to 1200 noon.

Selkirk Powder Heli Skiing Terms & Conditions

Payment Policy

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation of your reservation with us. If paying by credit card, please ensure the same credit card is used for both deposit and final payment.

Full payment is due no later than 60 days from your tour date. Failure to pay in a timely manner will result in forfeiture of your reservation and deposit. Reservations made 59 days or less from tour date are payable in full, at time of reservation.

Tips
Industry standard tipping is 10-20%, the same as you would for service in a restaurant or similar service industry. At Selkirk Powder, tips are pooled and shared between guides, cat drivers and pilots, and your front desk representative.

Changes to your booking

If you need to reschedule your tour during the current season (and we are in receipt of your full payment), you will be charged a $40 administrative fee. We will endeavor to honor new tour dates; please be aware that any changes are subject to space availability.

Cancellation Policy

Heli skiing cancellations in whole or in part are 100% non-refundable. We encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance through an outside provider.

A Note About Weather: We have no control over Mother Nature. We tour in sun, snow, rain, wind or any combination of interesting weather. It is, after all, an alpine environment. Be prepared, and dress accordingly. We reserve the right to cancel a tour for safety or mechanical reasons, as conditions warrant.

If we must cancel your heli skiing tour due to weather, mechanical issues or other deterrents, we will offer you priority seating on the next available flight. You also have the option of participating in one of our cat skiing tours and receiving a refund for the balance of your heli skiing credit with us. If neither of these options is satisfactory in the case of a Selkirk Powder heli skiing operations cancellation, you may opt for a full refund.

Travel insurance
To limit your exposure from life experiences, illness, injury, travel related complications and for peace of mind, we recommend travel insurance policies with enhanced “Cancel For Any Reason” coverage
