About Westin Rusutu Resort
The Westin Rusutsu Resort (formerly Rusutsu Tower Hotel) is a 24-storey all suite hotel ideally suited to families and groups (4 - 7 guests per suite) and is 100% non-smoking.
The Westin Rusutsu Hotel is rather different to the
Rusutsu Resort Hotel. The Rusutsu Resort Hotel is very child friendly and has lots of wacky Disneyland type features. The Westin Rusutsu Resort is more like a “normal” upscale hotel (although there is a mini forest in the hotel lobby to remain in keeping with Japanese kitsch!), and it has more emphasis on adult than child friendliness.
Where is the Westin Rusutsu?
The Westin Rusutsu Hotel is located is located between East Mountain and West Mountain at
Rusutsu Japan. The Westin is connected to East Mountain (which is connected to Mt Isola – the area for powder hounds) via a pair chair lift, and connected to the
Rusutsu Resort Hotel and West Mountain via a little monorail.
If you have small kids and there are only 3 or 4 of you in your group, the Rusutsu Resort Hotel is a better location for access to the beginner slopes, the kids snow park and other hotel facilities. If you are a larger group or family particularly with bigger kids, the Tower would be equally suitable as far as location goes.

Accommodation
There are 3 different size suites ideal for 4-7 guests:

Suites - (4 - 7 guests)
1 br 76-85 sqm (150 suites) for up to 4 guests
1 br 88 sqm (30 suites) for up to 5 guests
2 br 108 sqm (30 suites) for up to 7 guests
All have:
- western-style beds
- separate living areas
- a breakfast/bar area with sink
- private ensuite bathroom with bath, shower & toilet

Bedding configurations vary however a typical 1BR has a room with twin beds plus 2 pull down beds (some also with a sofa bed) in the living area, whilst the larger 2 bedroom has a double in one room, twin beds in the other and 2 pull down beds plus a sofa in the living area.
All suites (including the 2 bedroom suites) only have one bathroom to share.
All rooms have LCD TV, telephone, a small fridge, electric kettle, safe, wifi access and hair dryer.
The hotel also provides a range of quality bathroom products including shampoo, conditioner & soaps.
Facilities
The Westin Rusutsu (aka Rusutsu Tower) has a nice onsen including an outdoor hot spring as well as a day spa. Other facilities include various gift shops, a ski shop, ski and snowboard rental outlet, and ski and snowboard storage.
Guests of the Westin can also use the facilities available at the Rusutsu Resort Hotel, just a few minutes away by the free monorail. These amenities include a wave pool with water slide, games arcades, and kids indoor ski slope.
Restaurants & Bars
There are a few dining options at the Westin Rusutsu including a Japanese & Teppanyaki restaurant serving quality local produce, plus a buffet-style restaurant serving Chinese, Japanese and western cuisine.
There are also many restaurants and fast food options over at the Rusutsu Resort Hotel and a nearby strip of izakayas.
Small Children & Extra Bedding
- Infants 3 and under stay free in existing bedding however there may be an extra charge for a cot
- 4-12 year old children must use existing bedding
- Children over 12 are considered adults
